Dr. Hao became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder in 2007. Before joining the College of Business at UT Arlington in 2013, Dr. Hao was a faculty member in the finance department at the University of Missouri-Columbia for eight years. She publishes research articles in journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Markets, Review of Finance, Journal of Financial Research, European Financial Management, and Managerial Finance. She won the Fama-DFA first prize for the best paper published in the Journal of Financial Economics in 2007 and the Highly Commended Award for papers published in Managerial Finance in 2011. She has served as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Finance, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Corporate Finance, among others. She has presented her research papers at numerous national and international conferences.
