The University of Texas at Arlington: Setting the Standard for Educational Excellence.
Through life-enhancing research, innovative teaching and community service, UTA Mavericks challenge convention and transform the world in which they live. UTA rigorously pursues solutions to today's most complex problems, and is one of only 115 top doctoral research universities in the U.S. to be classified by Carnegie as a Highest Research Activity (R-1) institution. The University fosters an active learning environment for more than 55,000 students across the globe who pursue more than 180 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees within 10 colleges and schools. A leader in distance education, UTA has received national recognition for its online course offerings. To learn more about UTA, visit www.uta.edu.
Through the Academic Partnerships program, the UTA College of Nursing and Health Innovation and College of Education are introducing an innovative, distributed learning program. Academic Partnerships is in step with the innovation that has become UTA’s hallmark. This initiative provides health care providers and school districts with accessible and affordable learning for nurses to complete their BSN and teachers to obtain a master’s degree at UTA. This breakthrough, scalable model makes it possible for tuition per student to be reduced to make education more affordable and accessible. The 9- to 18-month programs are based on manageable courses that can be completed while students continue to work.
Our College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). NCATE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and numerous national organizations as the accrediting body for universities that prepare teachers and other professional personnel for work in P-12 schools. NCATE ensures that accredited institutions hold high standards and produce competent, caring, and highly qualified educators and administrators who have proven they can support the learning of all students.
Additionally, the UTA College of Nursing and Health Innovation is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The UTA College of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Less than 5% of the world's 13,000 business programs have earned AACSB Accreditation. AACSB-accredited schools have the highest quality faculty, relevant and challenging curriculum, and provide education and career opportunities that are not found at other business schools.
